Add reading time into your calendar
Summer can be a time when even the busiest people make/find a little more quiet and
reflective time which can translate into more time for reading. This wonderful reading
time doesn’t take place by magic however, YOU have to make it happen. It can’t be
thought of as something you’ll do when you have free time. No one really has regular
“free time”!
When you put reading in your calendar, you have a much stronger chance of getting
more reading done. You can make appointments with yourself either during work hours
(this may mean moving to a conference room to get peace and quiet or sit outside
during your lunch hour), on weekends (you can read while kids are watching cartoons or
at a sports practice) or during your commute (if you have one where you’re not driving!)
Reading then becomes one of your life’s priorities.
